Dominion Cove Point LNG
Storage Facility, Lusby, MD: Assessed and recommended upgrades to current
cathodic protection on existing LNG storage tanks, transmission lines, plant air
lines and a metal underwater tunnel spanning from the shoreline storage facility
to the supertanker unloading platform (located 1 mile offshore in the Chesapeake
Bay)
PSEG Power Connecticut, Bridgeport, CT: Performed annual
inspection on cathodic protection system protecting steel piles and dolphins for
coal and oil unloading docks. Performed annual inspection on traveling screens
at plant. Rectifier was inspected, adjusted and interrupted to assure optimum CP
on the traveling screens. Individual anode outputs and reference electrodes were
tested for problems and efficiency.
US Coast Guard Ocean Terminal, Bayonne, NJ: Conducted
stray current analysis for the US Coast Guard Military Ocean Terminal due to the
accelerated corrosion detected on the small buoy tending boats docked along the
floating V-Berth.
Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA: Energized
and tested cathodic protection of aviation fuel tanks. Trained Navy
representative on CP theory and maintenance.
